My first day owing a twin turbo Supra

Well yesterday all went quite well...

I picked up the beautiful car and immediately had to go and put fuel in it (at the nearest staion I could find).

Unfortunately the stupid Esso garage's exit was a slope and then steep rise back on to the road which I managed to scrape the bottom of the Veilside bumper on. Luckily you cant see it unless you stick your head under the car!

I showed a few people car and was very impressed with the speed!

Few things that went wrong:

  • When I had been using the air con on the way home, I parked up and was chatting to friends and noticed water leaking out the bottom and forming a puddle by my feet. It was definately just water so must have been aircon.
  • The electronic seat back and forward motion is playing up for me. It successfully can move the whole way forward, but when you try and move it back it doesnt work, or rarely works.
  • The aerial had a hole to come up through but used to catch a little bit of the spoiler, I then used it last night and the aerial popped up and out of the socket and was hanging on by a wire....not good.

Anyone experienced any of these before?

Other than that it is a fantastic car and everywhere I go there are people turning heads and asking me about the car lol

Im trying to upload an image for my avatar to show people my car but cant find the right area :-)

Even on my Vectra water drips down as a result of the aircon being on, I find it's like a freezing cold condensation that builds up on the outside of the A/C pipes then drips down as the water beads, nothing to worry about :)

Glad you're enjoying your car mate! I can't wait til I finally have one! just got to get the house move out of the way so I can continue to save!

Definitely condensation if its not coolant from the radiator. I saw an X5 beemer today with water running off the aircon radiator in a constant stream. Aircon contains gas, not water

Nothing wrong with that, it's normal. See above posts

If it's intermittent then it's most likely a loose wire

The aftermarket spoiler has no doubt been positioned in such a way that it impedes the ariel, so if you can't move the spoiler have a look around and see if you can get a stubby ariel (Honda s2000 ariel fits)

Then post some pics of your car! Look in User CP for changes to avatar etc

@rick001

Yeh, def recommend that steering wheel, really strong and gives great control - looks cool too!

@turbonut

Well theres a hole in the spoiler it fits through, but then again I dont use radio so not a big deal. I did not like the big spoiler at first but I'l ahve to say its grown on me! From the front it looks jus the right size :-)
