garetheves
Just had a message off a guy from piston heads about my supra. He is claiming he is from the Channel islands, and is interested in the car but due to law or something over there, in order to be lent the money for the car they need the engine and chassis number. Sounds like a scam to me but thought id ask if anyone had heard of anything like this before. Cheers in advance.

Suprash
In order to be lent the money they need to know the chassis number, why would that even be relevant, sounds dodgy to me mate, I would be wary......

Havard
My first reaction would be that this is a bit fishy but I suppose the Channel Islands will have their own set of rules! I would have thought that the reg no would have been sufficient!! Does he not need it for a HPi check in order to get the loan? Has he given a landline phone number too? H. Thats fine, Im not asking you to justify it, I was just saying, why dont people just PM the person, what relevance does it have to everyone else to post, PM sent, apart from making everyone think "I wonder what thats about then"......
