What product to clean my dash ?

I want to give my dash a real good deep clean but, don't want to use anything that will leave it sticky or shiny, I like the matt look.

What have you used ?

I used the Turtlewax spray dash shine - if you wipe it over with a damp cloth, it gives a matt finish. Smells nice too

just depends whats on there atm, i only put a dressing on if the customer requests it , clean is all you need

I have used the below product for say.....the last 2-3 years but, my dash looks like it's been sat out in the sun for too long and mixed in with the dust, looks a little tired now.

Note: It's not actually been in the sun, it lives in the garage but, you get the idea.

I guess I need something to get down into the pours of the dash and lift that dirt out leaving a nice clean surface. I then want to make it a little darker (back to black style) but, with a matt finish at the end.

Was advised by a trader on here not to use any silicone based sprays as it gets behind the dashboard and rots the rubber wiring covers !

Not heard this before, just passing it on for what it's worth.

i use a product called viro sol , for really dirty hard sufaces its basically a strong degreaser, or ive got AG interior cleaner , theres not much that these two wont shift .

as for back to black i wouldnt put that on the dash ,

I use a wet cloth I hate a shiny dash and a lot of the cleaners leave a weird residue on the windows....

If your dash has not been painted then as above i would just use some warm water with a little car shampoo in (not washing up liquid), something that is not going to effect the rubber coating or leave a glossy finish.

Can anyone recommend a particular product that is good for cleaning the elephant hide material that is used on the door cards and throughout the interior? I've never had a good crack at it, but in previous cars I've cleaned, everything looks good to start with, but upon drying it looks rubbish - any tips?

i know , little tip for when it is clean always keep a microfibre cloth in the car these are great for general dusting and helps keep the interior looking clean.

I use a cream leather cleaner on that and the door cards, seems to bring them up a treat

Well after reading a little on DW I found this too be very good at giving a nice matt finish, non greasy/sticky and smells nice to. I did a quick test before I did the whole car and you can see the results of my test

Yes ive got that too its brilliant, try in on your tyres too and trim!
