Guest MINX
can someone please post a picture of there water tank the one that feeds the radiator as i think the one i got installed in supra is not the correct size as car drinking upto 5lt of summer coolant a month. each time i go to check the levels the tank is empty and then when i check the rad its pressurising. had it to a car performance specialist and they say the tank is a none toyota one and it should be much bigger so plz if possible could i be shown pics of a) where your tank is located b) the size of it . thank you in advance MINX

Guest MINX
That looks same size as the one i have in the supra now. hmm this gets confusing now i seen that pic. i got supra booked in on 25th for full flush thru rad and a water leak to be sourced & sorted out as they discoverd that when had her on rolling road 3 wks ago. just trying to illiminate why she drinking the coolant. is that the only tank or is that the 'overflow tank' as guy at shop said it looked like the over flow tank. kinda working in dark on this as never had supra b4 and my celica knowledge dont go very far on the new beast
RobSheffield
So you have a water leak and yet you are wondering where the water is going?
Guest MINX
I haven't noticed any water leaks on the drive etc just going by what the guys told me when it came of the rolling road , apparently she blew hoses left right and centre when they ran her so they secured loads back on and tightened stuff up , but they commented on there been a leak in a very hard to get to area and to keep close eye on it. Now its only since she been on the rolling road that she is drinking lots of coolant yet the temp gauge not moving at all its staying limbo in middle. So because they think there may be an air lock in the rad which is causing the rad to pressurize in less than 3 min's of engine running . So I asked them to flush it thru and to locate the supposed water leak and repair at same time. Like I say totally new to supra ownership and trying to get things sorted b4 they grow into bigger problems. Excuse my naivety but we all have to start to learn somewhere and that's why I'm ere asking for pics or imfo.
Dazzi
did you go to motoscope for the dyno?
Nic
i'm in Northallerton That's where I grew up, Rob on here also lives in Northallerton. Is yours an NA or TT as the header tanks are different, see attached EPC images (first image is the NA one). When a front mounted intercooler is fitted on a TT, then the header tank is usually relocated and a smaller one used.
