chrisbilling
Dear All, anyone running a TRD XS power exhaust system on their Supra? All comments welcome. Ground clearance looks good.
Alex
TRD??? Toyota's TRD would have nothing to do with XS bargain bucket crap!
Homer
As Alex says, the TRD bit is just marketing bull, the real TRD exhaust is NOTHING like the XS power one. Have a search, there are plenty of threads from people who have bough these. It's not really possible to comment on them with regard to long term use since they've not been around very long. A few here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/search.php?searchid=3423952

patrikbrunt
Id have the nur spec in a flash if i had the choice... but for half the price the xs power is a fair substitute I think.
Guest Chumpalot
I'd steer away from the XS stuff personally. Go for the Blitz, they give off a lovely note but do tend to give you that motorway drone at higher speeds. You may also have issues with ground clearance. Dave Haggas
Not being biased I would go for the TRD everytime. Perfect fit, good ground clearance, exit angle straight (not the cant be bothered sticking out to one side effort),nice muted burble on tick-over and no droning at speed. It also says Toyota on it.... Homer
All well and good but I'm pretty certain it's not available anymore

Homer
So Homer do you agree that the TRD is THE one to have? Depends on what you want really It's probably one of the best options out there if you want something quiet. I'd only consider the XS power as a last resort

The TRD is not stainless but it is a very thick gauge steel of some sort.It also appears to have some sort of galvanised coating.Ref rust,I think this system would last longer than the Supra it would be hanging from! tDR
Blitz every time for me. Fit it yourself and tuck it up nice and close on the hangers - to me stories of it having poor ground clearance are down to slap it on any old way fitting. Cheers, Brian. Homer
In the two 6spd's I've been in with Nur's they have droned terribly at motorway cruise (70-90mph), probably due to the turbo's being in the transition phase. The auto I went in didn't seem as bad. There is no way I'd consider one on a TT 6spd as the drone was unbearable.

Homer
Boostlogic 4inch, it's a bit on the loud side, but doesn't drone The RSR I had on before while BPU was superb, wish I hadn't sold it TBH!

I will have an RSR backbox for sale soon, will only be the end backbox cut off though. Really nice condition:
tDR
I can say my NUR doesn't seem to drone at all - however the BL auto with PI 4k hi stall may have some to do with it given the different engine loading etc.
