Go for whichever one is the furthest away from here. :d

Stay for as long as you want. :p

*Personally, Bali sounds like fun to me.

depends from what sort of holidays u are after?
all 4 destinations have nice beaches
seychelles & mauritus - just nice relaxing beach holidays + you can have some nice scuba diving there
but nothing to do "on the land" apart from sitting on the beach
bali & especially thailand could offer much more variety of things to do in addition to just relaxing beach holidays
so really depends what u are after
personally me can't sit on the beach doing nothing for more than 2 days, therefore I prefer thailand (been there wz my missus 3 times during past 3 yrs)

Bali for me, the best place I have ever been. You can sit and do bugger all, or see the sites of the island, anb pretty amazing they are:)

I agree with 4leks Mauritaus is an amazing place but nothing at all to do apart relax. I was lucky enough to have my own driver who took me all round the island when I went and there is nothing much at all there.
Defo worth going though if you want to relax.

im from mauritius, its the type of place you go to with your Mrs...beautiful beaches and amazing hotels...its more of a chill out and relax island though, people there are so laid back, there are alot of water sports you could do, fishing is very popular (especially crab fishing), climbing rainforest like mountains, camping...they have some really nice natural places to visit, such as huge tropical parks, mountains full or rare fruit etc etc...but that kind of goes with the lingo of it being a chill/relax island.

There are bars and restaurants on the coast (which your never to far from), but its not a clubland or party land if thats what you looking for. Although its 14 hours away in the the depths of the indian ocean, they do like british people there alot, there is not any problems with tourists over there as normally when you pay £500+ just for a flight you want to respect and enjoy the place you go to.

Hope this helps, if you want anymore help let me know i can tell some nice places to go if you decide u wanna go there...

also i dunno about the other countries, but in december/january is virtually peak summer time over there, so it will be alot more lively over there than usual...

Got to agree with previous posts.
Mauritius - the hotels and beaches are lovely, but the island itself is not very interesting, mostly sugar cane.
Seychelles - more scenic than Mauritius, you can visit some of the surrounding smaller islands that have tremendous beaches.
Thailand - Bangkock is OK for a few days sightseeing, Phucket is scenic and plenty to do,
the island of Kho Samui was brilliant ten years ago,but very commercialised nowadays.
Bali - havent been there yet -maybe next year.

If its sunshine and sand you want then probably in December - its difficult to be Dubai
Cheers

Gamer, I wish I could stay there forever :d

I'm not really a 'beach' person so it sounds like Bali or Thailand for now

Very useful input chaps :thanks:

The missus reccomends Bali as she has been and loved every minute. May be a biased view though as she has never been to any of the others lol.

my mate just got back from mauritius. his apartment got broken into 3 times in the 1st week, got gatecrashers at his cousins wedding who then started on the guests. they then followed his familly home, beat his uncle up, then tried to storm the house and stabed him in the leg. his mum and gran were in the car in the driveway and they started smashing the car to bits, with them in it!! sounds like a great place to relax
