Yea, let the cat do the work, go to bed x

The shock will almost certainly kill it.

Failing that - I'd shut it in the room with the cat and go to bed. I suspect there will only be one winner.

Mouse traps come to mind, or is that a bit too obvious.... ;) Don't feed the cat and leave it in the room with it shut up tight and hope it catches it? Rentokill? Fumigation? Indifference?

Cats cant catch mice, have none of you seen Tom n Jerry?!

Leave it in a room with no cheese and it will just get bored and die :p

Is it a cordless mouse? USB or serial?

I'd go for nuking your house from orbit. Best be on the safe side.

I think i may have a plan.... :innocent:

You need to get down on all fours

Naked

In Baby oil

With your cutest friend

Oh, and the mouse will be more likely to want to be caught if you have a webcam :)

Im not entirely sure it will be caught (though it would catch me :p ), but it would make the thread more interesting :p

I have recently faced a mouse problem.

Chocolate makes a lot better bait than cheese, i used Cadburys but i'm sure any variety would be fine, unless you have fair-trade conscious mice in which case steer clear of Nestle products. I tried using mouse traps at first but the mice kept eating the chocolate off and never setting the trap off. Weirdly one morning i found the mousetrap with no chocolate bait left and 6 plastic clothes pegs left strewn around it, maybe the mice felt they should reward my feeding them chocolate every night?! In the end i bought some Raid rat poison and never saw the mouse again.
