ballsdeep
hi guys, Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on your service history records, i bought my supra in July with no service history, (which i would normally NEVER do!!!) it only came into the country in 2006 but i hate not having any records!! IV not even got a service book to have it stamped!!! 1/ Do you service your car yourself? 2/ Is there anyway i can retrieve service records? 3/ Is it possible to buy a service book, but have it stamped by Toyota to link the book to my car (if you get me...) what's my options??? Elmo
I would say most people who buy recently imported cars will have no service records. With regard to future servicing it's really up to you how you do it, if you do service the car yourself just keep receipts of all the parts you have bought. Nathman
I am in the same boat as you, I just have a folder that I put all my receipts into so I can prove that I have had it serviced. I don't have an actual service book.
Daston
I am the second UK owner I had a few bits and bobs of history from the previous UK owner as well as the import docs and invoice. However I also have the Jap log book that has all the service history in there. However I cant read any of it as its in Japanese (surprisingly). I now have a box file set up with all the receipts I have for the car for any parts I buy as well as instructions for the CD player and any service/mot paper. ballsdeep
makes sense!! the more you spend on it the better service you got... so its not a bad thing... feww
Chris Wilson
You can buy blank service books from Toyota.
