colsoop
I was searching for something brake related on the tinterweb and came across this site. It has some information that if true is quite interesting i thought. Im not sure where or how the information was gathered but thought i would post anyway. http://planetsoarer.com/suprabrakesII/SupraBrakeUpgrade.htm

Bobbeh
Rear brake disks bigger than the fronts.. even though they look smaller. I wonder if that chart was sponsored by Mintex?

Wez
Maclaren F1 1670 Supra TT 4 pots 1665 is that saying the supra 4 pots have the same stopping power as the maclaren f1? Looks that way doesnt it, but I am sure the Supra weighs a bit more than an Mac F1
ShamelessTT
Still from that table the Uk spec brakes are pretty good really, glad i upgraded to them now. 7000+ F1 thats amazing
grahamc
Maybe this should become a sticky, or going to FAQs so that people can see how effective the UK brake setup is
colsoop
Im not sure it can be made a sticky unless the source for the info is determined first.
Bobbeh
I think the fact that US car magazine had the Supra listed as its top braking performance car until the Carrera GT came along says quite a bit about how good the stock setup is. Bobbeh
Your front caliper should look like this:
Thorin
I'm sorry but I got part way down that page and have chosen to discredit everything it says after reading this bit... Rotors and pads are now available from EBC and are highly regarded as aftermarket replacements / upgrades.
TLicense
Unfortunately that table, if correct tells only half the story. You also need to factor in heat dissipation and a whole host of other factors so that you can tell how good a particular brake set-up is for repeated brake events. However, that said, the Mintex pad upgrade, if accurate, seems a reasonable upgrade. I'd like to see what something like CW's race pad would do....
