View Full Version : Alternatives to Squires?

Seems like nobody is up for Squires any longer, since it has chavved up.

Where else should we host a Supra meet? Keep in mind some of us can/may go to the NW meets too.

We could add a poll after we all suggest some places.

1) Ferrybridge
2) Meadowhall (may be too far south)
3)
4)
5)

I wouldn't say that it has gone chavy however there are loads of bikers there on a Tuesday so space is becoming very limited.

Bikers have always been there, its a biker bar :p

Its the kids in chavved up corsas parking amongst the jap cars and testing their chooonz then setting off at full throttle out of the gate....

We can have Yorks meet at my house if you like, though i suspect the distinct lack of pasties, beers, hot chocolate and above all car parking may put you offf :p

It's not so much them, it's the Impreza and 300ZX types that annoy me the most with their choooonz pumping all night long despite requests to STFU on previous meets there.

To be honest I'm not too fussed about an alternative, the whole car park thing doesn't appeal to me, I'd rather meet up at an event like York Dragway, Harewood etc so there is something to do or just stay at home.

Scared to consider a P1 now. :d

You'd fit right in ;)

I feel bad for including them all in my rant, the majority are the ideal visitors, they behave, they wear matching clothes and they enjoy a chat without acting like cocks.

It's a minority of people who change the atmosphere sadly.

So do we keep Squires as a meet 'if you fancy going' and then meet regularly through the summer months at the local drag days (wont the chavs be there too?!) or do we have another meet in its place or to run alongside?

Why do we have to have static meets though? Why not meet up somewhere and drive to somewhere else?

Thats obviously another option.

The purpose of this thread was to find out what the rest of the local members want to do, there are now plenty of local members.

What about a meet then a drive to the coast?

Scarbough north bay - theres a cafe - coffee, pasties, chips.
and plenty of parking.

Just a thought.

It has been ages since we did the Scarborough run, and it was this time of year.

Will folks be interested in a monthly Scarborough run though?!

Why bother with just titties? You can see a bunch of c**ts at Squires for free. :d
