As for illuminations was thinking the saturday would be best... I could arrange to use the Red Lion Pub car park at Bispham as it's got a massive car park...could book some tables if people want food if i can get numbers :burp:

Hi chaps...i'm gonna arrange the run down the lights for the saturday (that's what the majority want) I'll contact the Red Lion pub to arrange the use of the car park, can't see there being a prob as we've used it before...If anyone wants food can you let me know so i can arrange tables so we are all sat together... I'm away for a week now so can you let me know by the 23rd of sept so i can organise it.. cheers

Ill be hopefully coming to this this year. Missed the last 2 years for various reasons. If ive still got my car then ill be coming in that but if its gone by then i will try and jump in someone elses car.
Ill come along but we have to try and sort it so were not stuck in that aweful queue to get on the strip like last year!!

Yeah but theres different ways in i think, the one we tried first last year before we tried another way just wasnt moving at all. was a ace crack tho, i had a taxi full of fitties talking to me in the queues :d right up my street :d

I think if Ian is arranging the meet up at the Red Lion in Bispham, then we'll be coming through the Illuminations the reverse direction to last year.
Ian, we'll need simple directions through to Bispham, obviously avoiding the front.

as Mike says, if we're meeting in Bispham, we may as well start at the other end, but if it's a busy night there's just as much chance of a big queue anyway
make it a Sunday instead if people don't want to wait around first, otherwise it's just something you have to put up with :)

If nothing turns up this week, I'll try and chase it before I get back. I'm not going to be on much though - maybe once or twice a week.

Hi, im a Dave im a newbie, no need to introduce myself to Mr Pixelfill as he already knows me! Are any of you lot going to meet at Owd Nells near Preston for about 1pm, get something to eat during the day and onto the lights at the evening. See thread at the bottom attached, not sure if you have seen it or not. I Its the Jap north west meet thats being held there and its going to be a monthly thing, put reading a few posts from members I think the plan is to go Owd Nells and on to Blackpool to make a day of it.

Too many threads to read sorry, can someone clarify is this meet the same day as illuminations, and are you going to make a full day of it, ie jap-meet during the day, food, then on to the illuminations?

We are thinking of going for a random drive for a few days and will plan this into our trip!
Yep this is the same day as the illuminations. A few people are meeting up around 1.30pm at Owd Nells (which is where the jap northwest meet is) and then later on meeting up with others at various locations and finally finishing with a drive through the illuminations.

Yep, really good night out again.
Nice to see that the cars were getting more attention than the lights again as well. :d
Also, had a lad in a tarted-up Fiesta tell me that we were all driving "big boy's cars", which was pretty cool. :)

Well got home at 03:30 am after ensuring Matt managed to mate with his young lady friend, by entertaining her friend for 1 hour (or ws it 5 min!!).
Comment regarding kennel was a little unfair Havard. They were more like pigs than dogs. (Only joking Matt).
Great to meet some new faces and see more folks admiring our cars than the 2 million bulbs over the mile.
Someone please PM me when next pan cake run is so I can bring the car up for it!!

Hi guys..had a good night last night...thanks to everyone for coming, hope you all enjoyed it. Sorry to all the people with children who were told to be out of the pub by nine...i wasn't aware of this...the management of the pub have appologised for this, so sincere apologies to all:(. Glad to hear Matt had an eventful time, Blackpool girls are so easy, I can say that cause i'm married to one!!!:eyebrows:
Damn good evening, and an impressive turnout - shame the Red Lion Carpark wasn't too well lit.
It was a little disappointing that we got split up so early, but that didn't spoil the fun, and the usual people pointing and counting ... 14 ... 15 ... 16. "look at all those Subarus" "Nice car mate" I was giggling like a school kid all the way down the prom.

What an awesome night! the attention from the public was unreal! aside from someone twat on the way out of the lion, have to say it topped last years fun!!
Thought i was in the sh*t when i left tyre marks up the promonade in straight view of a number of bobbys! but it must have been the norm for them!
Didnt get in till 4 in the morning! me and Ray had a good crack afterwards, altough me not getting into the clubs because i had 3 quater lengths on was a bit weird seen as though i had trainers on too, but that didnt matter?!
Anyway, awesome night and nothing like a good old suspension shacker to finish the night of in style lol. God bless the supra!!

Had a really good night, we didn't need the lummies though as we were behind Ray! Ellis was more interested in Ray's lights than the illumniations.
I used to go to Blackpool for nights out quite regularly when I was younger and sprogless, but I would be scared to go after some of the sights I saw on Saturday. :shock::run:
