Cracked lacquer

Class One

My car has been subjected recently to a couple of parking dinks by kind thoughtful other road users, who have decided to use my front and rear bumpers to gauge the size of their car. Nothing dramatic, no scratches or anything, but obviously they've had some pressure subjected to them resulting in the classic "spiders web" effect in the lacquer.

Can anything be done about this, or does it have to result in a respray?

(I've tried polishing etc but doesn't make any difference. :( )
