central locking/alarm problem - Need your opinion

Not sure if this is central locking related or alarm.

Anyone had simular or ideas on what the fault could be.

Using the fob, the alarm works fine off/on but only locks, not unlocks all doors (I hear a small relay clunk but not as loud as before). Having to use the key to manually open the door at the moment.

Tried again and same results. Doors and boot lock fine but don't unlock using the fob.

I noticed the "door open" icon on the dash lights up when your try to unlock with the fob which I hadn't noticed before.

Dont know if thats related. Seems odd.

Have not interfered with anything since it worked properly

Fully charged car battery and new key fob battery + oiled door mechanism with no improvment.

At first I thought its was the central locking motor,.. but how could it be both doors and still lock ok.

Ed does it lock / unlock via the button in the arm rest console ?

good question mate.

passenger side works i.e red button in the arm rest console locks BUT the drivers side button in the arm rest wont lock the door.

how strange!

Pop the door card off and have a look at the little lock / unlock mechanism see if it has come loose. or died
