just seen a small accident outside were i work.

A lady trying to reverse park her tiny Kia Picanto into a space, (no joke, big enough to fit 2 supras in) just smacked into a mondeo hard enough to crack the bumper and force it back a few feet. She got out, had a look then got back in and drove off.

we got her number plate details etc and just waiting for the owner of the mondeo to get back.

where does the owner of the mondeo stand with regard to the law and claiming on insurance ?

If you and your collegues are prepared to be witnesses, have the womans car details etc, he can at least start a claim should he want to.

If you and or others stand up as witnesses and she does not report it to police within 24 hrs she is also guilty of failing to stop which *IF* prosecuted for she would get a fine and some points

Someone did this to my old man the other week, luckily a neighbour got the details and passed them on to him.

Dad gave the woman 48 hours to get in touch (accident was at 4am so not the sort of time to wake the household up) and when she didn't he reported it to the police.

Oddly enough the stupid old bag was very willing to sort things out once the police had been round.

It is an offense to leave the scene of an accident like that. She should at least leave a note or something.

My last car had its wing mirror spashed off by someone who never made themselves known and earlier this year somone reveresed/hit my dads parked car. Got out to look at the damage and kicked my dads car. We never saw the accident but it was clearly dented with a boot mark on it.

the owner of the mondeo hadn't come back to the car by the time we went home so we left a message to contact us for details if he wanted to take it further.

i'll let you know if he does....

Did my good deed last week too. Picture this - waiting to cross a main road from a side road in my van at work, the road im to enter is dead opposite. Traffic everywhere as it's rush hour and a lady is waiting to pull out opposite me when some cock jockey asian kid comes spankin down the road all over the show in a shitty banged up Ka. Without even slowing down the bloke turns right where I want to be going, cuts the corner and swipes his drivers rear quater in to the drivers front corner of the poor lady's car. Bit of a spank and he wobbles off down the road at speed without stopping or slowing down !
I'm thinking 'what a prick, I'd reverse after him and kill him if it was the supra' when the way clears and I get to go. Thinking he's long gone I forget about it and continue back to the depot when the little c**t comes tearing out of a side road in front of me to go the same way as I'm heading - now I didn't have time to brake even if I wanted to so I just aimed at the prick with my fully loaded van already going at a good 35mph - lucky for him and his 'gangsta wannabe crew' he was shifting quick enough to pull away before I got close enough to spank him so I consolled myself by taking his plate and car description before he shot off down another side road again without indicating.
I then phoned the police station reporting exactly what happened just in case the poor cow he hit reported it at some point in the hope the 2 would match up and the wanker caught. At the very least I hope they went round, checked the damage and description I gave then stuffed a truncheon up his corn hole !!!!!

id defo report it to the police for leaving the scene of an accident as i feckin hate twats like that, thats why i have the pager fitted to my car alarm so if anyone goes near it or bangs it, its lets me know on the key fob straight away so i can run out of tescos and catch em in the act........
It is worth bearing in mind that my friend got hit in the same circumstances and a woman did write a note, and left under the window wiper, the note read "oops im sorry"
someone had seen this and never bothered to take the reg plate because he thought she had left her details???????
bummer
