MAP2 ECU - Mappers

I was hoping to find someone who knows the MAP2 and has a bit of Supra experience rather than someone with the "we'll have a look at anything" approach but your comments are noted, I guess it's just a case of getting the most out of the software in many cases.

Eurospec, Sumitaka and a Volvo specialist called SW Autos are the official dealers here, I know the first 2 as GTO specialists and saw the Eurospec car at TOTB, I don't know much about them though.

That's exactly it michael. Personally I don't see mapping as rocket science - if you've got the right gear (det cans and wbo2 essentially) to let you know what's going on and can log AFR in your mapping software it's a case of analysis and adjustment.... the adjustment part is just like editing values in a spreadsheet really.

It's a bit like IT really. A whole bunch of hoo haa and voodoo surrounding many technologies which keeps salaries high..... but a have a go attitude lets you see the wood for the trees :)

Cheers,

Brian.

I had a long chat with the tuner at Eurospec2000 (sorry I can't remember his name) about using a MAP2 on my supercharger project. He seemed to really know what he was talking about and said he had done supras. Only thing is he worried me a bit by saying he would use my car for a week or so for personal use :blink:with a base map in and then do the final tune. Never heard of this approach before, but on the other hand I have never had a car mapped before.
