Wez
Darryl popped over today for chit chat and to see how PHR Stage 1 compares to T67DBB at the same boost, the T67 deff has the top end edge, while the Stage 1 is more punchy low down. Pig
Nice. Would like to go out in a properly setup manual to see how it goes

Homer
What a great way to spent an afternoon - tw*ting around in single turbo supra's Again I was very impressed with your car, the power comes in so soon and punchy, a very different driving experience to mine. Still not sure whether I prefer the T61 or T67 for the way it delivers power, perhaps something in between the two
razza
next time you're both bored give me a bell, I'll help fill a seat:d

I have been in a T61 and liked it very much but, did think a few days later....would I want MORE ?

Good question Pete I think the PHR stage 2 is something like a 64mm turbo, so might be an option. I'm not about to change anytime soon, but no harm in looking at the options. Wes also mentioned the GT35r (same as Terry had in his), as this provides similar spool to the T61 but doesn't run out of steam so much at higher rpm's. Homer
Gt4088? It's more laggy than my current turbo so not really an option.
tDR
Really, I thought it was the GT4088R that was the laggier one. Don't know enough about them to tell you if we're talking DAF or Garrett lol

Don't know enough about them to tell you if we're talking DAF or Garrett lol Nah mate, the R version is the the dbb one and I believe completely different to the journal 4088 version. The 4088r is more comparible to the T67dbb. Shame Mike B isn't closer as I'd love a go in his one!
Homer
And for those interested here is a rough overlay between Wez's and my car. The T61 is awesome in the mid range (which is what I'm most interested in), but starts to run out around 5.5k rpm.
Pabs
out of interest, and sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the approximate price difference between the PHR stage 1 and a T67DBB, all inc? (ie to take a std TT and modify with all reqd. components) Thanks

Yeah I know the R always signifies dbb in the Garrett range... but thinking there's been a few people with DAF GT4088's that were apparently very quick spooling? Jamie P for example, remember his original vid with the speedo flying round.
Ryan.G
When i have got my new clutch in guys and mapped to 1.4 were all have to meet up and do a comparison with my gt4088 but having driven homers t67 MINE certainly feels less in the midrange. Im running a 0.81 ar

I have a DAF one and would say homers t67 spools quicker but i have a 0.81 housing and think jamie had .68 not sure
Wez
Lets see what happens to my top end with JUN cams and a little more boost, I am hoping it doesnt fall off so much

Jamie P for example, remember his original vid with the speedo flying round. After speaking with Jamie that video was real, but his speedo wasn't very accurate. He also had a huge rev limit (something like 8.5krpm) and revved the nuts off it It was a very quick car, no doubt, but then he was driving it harder and with more rpm than most sane people would. The 4088 has a huge turbine so is much more suited to high rpm use.
Wez
If I recall correctly the PHR Stage 1 has a 0.70ar.

Homer
You sure when he did that vid Unless I'm imagining things, he did two, one with the old and one with the new. I'm referring to the last one.
