View Full Version : Classified Prefixes
Is it just me that finds the new prefixes in the classifieds section unnecessary? We have separate wanted and for sale sections, so I don't understand the need for the prefixes.
The SOLD prefix is useful, the other 2 just make the titles more difficult to scan.
I like them, they mean I don't have to move my eyes to the right to check what section the post is in.
Maybe.

I'm guessing you view the forum by using the New Post option? I can understand how it would be useful if you do that, I only ever check posts by section, so couldn't understand the point.

Indeed, "New Posts" all the way.
i like it, as its a great way of making them stand out frmo the rest of the posts.
so as a seller you know you want get missed in amongst all the other posts and as a buyer it means you dont miss out on a potential purchase.
but yep .. new posts all the way here too
It is my intention to merge the parts for sale/wanted forums, so then they will be useful. :)

No  please don't do that, I never view the for sale sections, only the wanted section. The Aus forum has the 2 merged (albeit without the prefixes) and it's a real PITA going through it looking for the wanted posts.

Yes indeedy, i cant see any other sensible way to do it!
They do look a bit odd, but i am getting used to them :)
On the same tack Lee - could the price and condition boxes be made editable please?
Makes it difficult for a seller to drop the price otherwise. :)
Unfortunately not at the moment due to the way they have been implemented. The author will hopefully fix that soon though.
