After a lot of mucking about, I finally got to the point of connecting the hoses from the take-off plate to the new base-plate last night...and found they were too long. Is there a positioning trick here, as in needing to rotate the take-off plate just right, or should I shorten the hoses to suit? I just read the Earls guide for assembling the hoses - love the last section: 6. Check the mark that you made on the hose in Step 2. If the hose has backed more than about 1/16" out of the socket as you assembled it, curse and return to Step 3. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
