Thorin
What model Kuhmo? If you're after a good cheap tyre, Falken F452's.
Matt _Aero top_
Whats agood price ? Can you get 19's with rim savers on ?
juanchan
As Michael says, which Kuhmos? I've got Ecsta Supras on the rear of my car and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with a Supra!
Animal
NOPE. This topic was covered last week, the general concencus (ignoring the complete wazzock) was Toyo T1-R or Goodyear Eagle F1's. I recommend the Toyos personally.

Chris Wilson
I'm going for some toyo 888's next week, heard some good stuff about them 888's are utterly dire in the wet, and a million miles off the market leaders in the dry, as a road legal track tyre. Unless you intend mainly dry track usage, on a tight budget, they are a bizarre choice.
Class One
400 for 2 x 255/18/35 and 2 x 225/18/40 Wrong sizes for a start. You need a 235 width tyre on the front for a start unless you are using some unusual width wheel.
Ian W
Wrong sizes for a start. You need a 235 width tyre on the front for a start unless you are using some unusual width wheel. stock tyre width for an n/a was 225 iirc. however, the rears were also 245 so i suppose if he's going for 255's on the rear then he should move up to a 235 on the front. markus99
wheels i bought are 8 inch front (same as current stock 16s, they have 225s) and 9 inch at the back. 1 inch is 25.4mm, so 30mm wider for the back should be ok?? no?

Chris Wilson
Michelin pilot sport cup. Agreed, next best Pirelli P Zero Corsas. Both need a lot of negative camber to make them work, both are VERY harsh, and noisy on roughly metalled roads. Both work best with some heat in them. In the wet they are all far worse than even average price normal road tyres though.
CarlT67
Aren't the bridgestone potenza ra50s (or something) supposed to be the best of both worlds for grip and life...? My Michelin pilots didn't seem to last that long....
Thorin
I don't think the poster is really interested in track day tyres.

My Michelin pilots didn't seem to last that long.... People get mixed up with Michelin Pilots and Michelin Pilot Sport *CUPS*. The Cups are a road legal race tyre, with very hard compound, very stiff sidewalls and minimal (but legal) tread depth. About the only road car that comes with is / was the BMW M3 CSL.
