Hi,

We have ( as always ) stock of 3 types of boost controller. They are universal so will fit any turbo car, each has different design but doing the same job although some extra functions vary between models.

These are what we have :

Close up of AEM Tru-Boost - again new this year and incorporates a gauge which also houses the 'brains' of the controller, neat & tidy so you dont have to buy a boost gauge as well as controller

what would be mapped? dont they simply just turn the boost up?

No, thats why they are better and more expensive than just a bleed valve or an actuator mod etc. They are complicated things, this latest one from HKS allows you to access a map ( with the software ) so you can programme it to allow different boost settings against say, RPM so instead of just dialing in 1.5 bar, you can say , 1.3 at 3000, 1.5 at 5000 etc etc. Other controllers do that but none are programmed by map and software like this new one is.

Varying boost levels are particularly good for drag ( when you dont want full boost off the line ) or for driving when your highest boost its right up the revs so you dont have it all low down and loads of power/wheelspin.

And, it aids tuning as it makes boost fully adjustable.

Hope that helps :)

You can also map the boost by:

Throttle Position
RPM
Vehicle Speed
Throttle Position + RPM or
Throttle Position + Vehicle Speed.
