Road trip in Supra 2,000 miles in 3 days

At this time of year I have to make several trips to Deauville in Northern France to install some satellite equipment at the horse races. I normally go one one day and return the next. Last Thursday it was my birthday and decided that as a treat I would take the Supra instead of the van and my bird came too.

On Thursday afternoon I received a call from my office to say there was a problem in Cannes and would i go and install some equipment into the Carlton hotel there for the head honcho's wife. SO, at 6 am on Friday we set of from Deauville and headed down to the Sun and arrived in Cannes 11 hours later. En route I managed to get nicked for speeding and received a 90 euro fine after being escorted off the peage by 2 cops on bikes. I did the work and left Cannes at around 11 on Saturday and then got caught up in several traffic jams between Cannes and Paris. Spent the night in Paris and then got home yesterday afternoon.

What a trip, outside our hotel there was a Bugatti veyron and Em has a picture of this and I will post it sometime, along with loads of other cool cars, but never saw another supra throughout the the whole trip. Loads of people looked at the supra and got the thumbs up from loads of other drivers. When we were going onto the shuttle one of the French staff stopped me to tell me that he had the same car but on his play station!!!

The only problem throughout the whole trip with the car was the plastic wind deflector thingy on the drivers side came unstuck and started flapping around. All the glue had melted in the heat and the clips alone were not enough to hold it in place. But not really a problem. What a car, and what a beast at gobbling up the motorway miles.

Loads of fuel used but as I am paid 40p per mile it is all covered.

Have 3 days off now to recoup before setting off on Thursday on holiday to Romania by road, but this time I wont be in the supe:(
