:D

I worry about my car sometimes

got me thinking , does anyone here consider theyre car to be mechanically perfect or as new.

seems many converted cars have real issues eg single turbo conversions and most cars are getting on; mine just passed 100k

last week, and is 13 years old now Still starts first time, doesnt smoke, except a liitle on start up every now and then. But what about all the other bushes, rods, alignment and other bits and bobs

how can you really be on top of everything without spending a fortune?

Although I'm sure things are wearing out, I do consider mine pretty much mechanically perfect. The folding mirrors don't work - the driver side started playing up and I disconnected the switch. Apart from that, I'm not aware there is anything wrong with it. If something breaks, I'll get it fixed - but I don't consider it a high maintenance cost car to run.

I consider my engine to be mechanically perfect, even though my car has 130k on the clock, but it is a fully rebuilt engine ;)

Its not all perfect though, ive got a right annoying clunk clunk clunk coming from my left front wheel which i need to sort out. Sure its a sticky caliper.
