Full De-cat.....?

2nd decat is enough to pass I think as long as it's not fooked, it is also the easiest to change (1st cat is a pain, on a TT it is anyway). As long as you can get the car high enough to work under it is a piece of cake however if you bugger it up and not seal it correctly as your exhaust leaks then you could fail with that. (I think)

Right, local tame exhaust fitter will be visited once a year then! Unless......

To be honest, when there is not that much gain on a decat N/A why dont you just take out the 1st cat and leave the 2nd one in. Seems a lot of pointless hassle for so little gain. If it is noise you are after then just buy a Nur spec or an RSR.

I'm getting a TT convesion from Jezz in the next two weeks mate.

I leave a case of lager in the boot and tell them to fit the cats before MOT, the cats happen to be in the boot...

I like your way of thinking my learned friend. There are few mechanics I know that can refuse the dastardly whiles of said 'lager'!:D

Next job....... Find an alcy owner of an mot testing station!!!:D
