Can you update Xbox360 without connecting to Live ?

My xbox is a long way from any internet connections, but I need to bring it up-to-date as it currently wont display 1080p, apparently there is a 'fix' :rolleyes: Can you download the updates and update the 360 manually ? If not, anyone want to lend me a 60foot network lead :D

Treated myself to a 42" Plasma and already had the 360 HD Drive, but if you try to use 1080p it just goes blank. You can use upto 1080i, but want to use 1080p.

I can do a 60ft cable if you REALLY want one *grin*.... Either that or just get a wireless dongle thingy...

Yeah could do the wireless thing but I can't see me using Live so seems daft to either buy stuff or pay for a Live account just to update the box.
