A newly delivered TRD radiator cap (and maybe more) was stolen from my letterbox this morning, having done a bit more investigation this is apparently what happened:

1. Envy kindly posted my item recorded delivery in a lovely jiffy bag - safe as houses one would imagine.

2. Post Office dealt with it and gave it to Postman

3. Postman peeled recorded delivery label off and posted it as normal post without me signing for it!

(he has done this before and I've reported him twice!)

4. Thieves appeared some time before 8am this morning and stole post from me and my neighbours. Luckily the package ripped and the Envy address part stayed in my post box so I knew what had been taken. If this hadn't happened I would never have known.

I've reported this to the Post Office (again) and logged a complaint against the postman (again). The problem I have is that I live in an apartment block and we have those nasty little metal post boxes outside the entrance to the reception area, anyone can go 'fishing' in them and normally Mr Postman never puts the mail right in them anyway - bloody annoying!

Feeling lucky it wasn't the AVC-R and RSM but still VERY annoyed and planning to sit in the carpark in the morning to 'chat' with the postman and look for the E reg black Nissan a neighbour spotted around the time of the theft.

Anyway to get to the point Gaz and Kev were great when I let them know about this problem, they are dealing with the post office to sort out all the compensation crap *and* I'm getting a new cap in the post tomorrow - now that's service!

Once again a round of applause to Envy, one of the few companies out there that not only have sensible prices but actually care about their customers, nice one chaps

Just to complete the story - by Saturday morning I had a nice new TRD cap waiting for me at home, top service again from the Envy chaps :)

I'd be intrigued to know where the cap ends up, I suspect it'll get sold to fuel some kind of habit but surely there can't be much of a market for obscure items like this outside of the car community?

I did a test once and even letters and parcels that I posted to myself were returned with the Signature Strip wripped off. I also complained.

So now I celotape them on which stopped it.

Now I've started writing "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" underneath the sticker just in case they try to remove it.

Pete,

Thats shocking, that wording under the sticker is a good idea.
