View Full Version : Dodge Charger
Saw a young bloke today at Shell garage with a mahoosive Dodge Charger, 1970,s model, huge bonnet scoop, and twin exhausts like two hollowed out lamposts, petrol tank filller was under rear number plate which flipped up, so he's almost on knees to fill her up, don't know what engine these have but when he started her up it sounded like the petrol station exploding, immaculate example looked awesome, but just so wide and long!!:)
trouble is if i had one i would make it a dukes of hazzard replica, lame but it would have to be done

theres got to be some about, i will have a mission around. theres no way they are worth £18,000

When you say slow you mean top end don't you;) i would like to see your average sup keeping up with a 383 or 440 charger down the 1/4:phttp://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u109/benscarpics/68charger011.jpg

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u109/benscarpics/68charger001.jpg 550HP 383 1968 charger:d They were built in a 318cui,383cui and a 440cui £6-7000 will get you a resto project a good one in excess of £15,000 numbers matching 383 the Sky's the limit:search:
i did mean top end, its something like 110 is it not?
The one in my pic 150+ 318cui 115-120mph 383 standard 125-130 440 a bit slower 125mph but with a few mods you can add 20mph to all but they are all about getting off the line quick;) ITS ALL ABOUT MUSCLE
Most fun is had south of 120 anyways.

Not the one i saw in Leeds city centre, initial torque was monsterous and it sounded AMAZING.
My mate at work has 2 chargers and a plymouth.
The white one is his proper toy (8.1 Hemi IIRC soon to be supercharged), and the orange one is waiting to be done up.
The Plymouth is just a run-around
:wow:I would give my supra and skyline and lotus Carlton for that hemi
Wow! I am considering a charger for my next car, it's either that or a Mustang.
I want that Boss on ebay!!!!
Actually I really want a '71 hemi 'Cuda, but they're going for around £25k I think.

flatout??
flatout??
flatout= great, fantastic
Its ok loads of torque:) and very, very unreliable:( but an investment for my old age:D
i have only ever seen one, very very nice though
I think the engines look crap, even for v8's look like giant airfilters on top of an egg box, but still the one i saw looked awesome and sounded awesome:)
There is a garage in bristol ,cleevewood motors i think its called .
they have some really nice american motors as well as ferrari/porche/cobra etc
The Boss is my dream car, i have one the same year looks exactly the same(well when restored), but its not a boss.
