Condensation in Headlights

Just Refurbed my headlights and both are misting up already.Perfect seal round both of the lens and I even put silica gel sachets in them to soak any moisture.I noticed that the 2 little vent spouts at back of the unit had the foam filter perished in them so I replaced with new foam.I am well pissed off because they look great but are misted up 1st thing in morning.Any ideas?

i resealed my headlights two times and the second i used black windscreen bond which which personally is the best but when im washing the car the headlights mist over so what i do (im to bloody lazy to strip the glass again) is take the full beam bulbs out before you wash the car and the lights stay nice and clear so basically drill an airhole in the somewere it might help:cool:

fitted them to car yesterday

brand new lights actually do this for the first few days, give them a week to climatise and if the seals are good they should clear up.

also it might be worth smearing a small amount of vasaline round all the rubber 0 rings, there's 2 on both main and high beam bulbs, 1 larg one on the fog light cap and one on the sidelight stalk.

make sure you remove the high beam bulbs too, this should let the moisture out quicker than the pipes on the back :)

do not drill an air hole

i only said it cause when i take my full beam bulb out (big hole) it stops them getting condensated so im thinking if there was a perminent hole not to big then the head lights will climatise but then it was just a sugestion and im glad you cleared it up for me:D
