B&M short Shifter.. Gone Sloppy

Well remembered Joe :)

 

The joint on these can wear very quickly, mine got so bad that it's actually damaged the selector shaft which means the gearbox has to come out to be repaired!

 

They're really not worth the hassle. i've gone back to a stock one and the slightly longer throw was worth it for the smoother change.

Oh dear, i best get a stock gear stick asap before i damage the selector....

I've seen so much aggro with such 'short shift' kits that I'd steer well clear.

Once I was stupid enough to pay my own good money for one. When I realised that the various breakages and loosenings were the fault of the *concept* I flogged it to another wannabe fast-dude.

 

The extra leverage can't do any good inside the gearbox, that's for sure...
