yeah next time i get chance ill take some picture of all the other stuff he has done.he's done loads of f1 cars about a foot long. paints all the engines and everything like that. all the tiny little wires. Weathers the tyres with sand paper so they look used.

Hes just finished an enzo and has plastered the cockpit with carbon fibre decals :p

He's done tanks and planes and helecopters (doing the one from M.A.S.H atm.) He's done an awesome orange porche. Oh and the best one i think he has done is hms victory with all the ropes and planks of wood and cannons etc. very impressive. its about 3.5 foot long and has a massive desplay case. It took him ages to do. he started just before i was born and finished it when i was about 16!

My dad has taken about 100 or so pictures of his models today!

Here are the ones ive got from him so far.

Enzo - Just to put it into context im not sure of the scale but its very small. no more than 20 cm long.

And yes. all those "carbon fibre" are transfers. cut to shape.

Porche - This car has been on my dads shelf as long as i remember. He probably made it before i was born (im 24). The transfers are starting to age a little but i love this car. Especialy the choice of sponsor :p

Those are amazing. Are the models built to the instructions in the kit (it looks like he goes one step further and adds paint & details & stuff that aren't even in the kit!!!)

Guigsy, your dad has some serious skills.

Respect to him! WOW

Guigsy

yes the instructions tells you which bits to paint what colours. and the kits are very detailed anyway. he is about to do senas mclaren from the 80's (not sure which one) i think its 87. Its just been reissued and is very detailed indeed. he had downloaded loads of extra things to do to it. a guy has done a tutorial on the same kit in the usa with lots of extra bits.

for example the carbon fibre on the enzo i think he put some extra on. and the bottles and things on the top of the tank dont come with the kit. and weathering under the plane where the wheels retract to. and on the back of the tank and the tracks, It doesnt tell you to do that in the kit. Or weathering of the tyres of the f1 cars to look used. otherwise there shiny!

the hornet looks quite a simple model but its incredibly detailed. there is a couple of hundred parts to it. the engines are built seperately from lots of different parts... then hidden away inside where you cant even see them!
