Some updates to my GPS Speedo.

The following have been added.

1/4 Mile Stats
When start is pressed, swap the tab to the speedo tab.

Bug Fixes

Fixed logic in 0-100 stats

Still to do.

Some sort of Compass
Add ability to configure colour scheme
Ability to reset Current Max settings
Ability to save each run's stats to a CSV file

What would be good if anyone could see how close the 1/4 stats are on a real run. ;)

Thanks,

Paul.

Paul have you done anything with tomtom software? Im after a speedo display on its own as i have the satnav on if i know where im going just to remind me of speed cameras and keep a check on speed but would be nice to have it full screen. Is there anything out there to download?

Hiya Edge,

Not too sure what you mean by doing something with TT.

I use TT mainly for the speed camera and hopefully at some point I can get SC warnings into my app.
The main reason I started to write my own was that the Speed display in TT6 is too small and when it goes red to warn you that you are over the limit, I just cannot see it.

Have a look at www.pocketgpsworld.com they have reviews of quite a few bits of software that might help.

Paul.

How difficult would it be to do something like this on XP?

Should be fairly easy TBH.
What are you thinking of doing?

Setting up a tablet PC as a digidash for my AEM, I have been looking at units with built in GPS where this could offer another feature.

Ah, the reset would be a good feature. I keep finding I get 1.0 second 0-60 times if my GPS takes a minute to aquire, and by that time I'm already at 60mph.

That looks pretty darn good, have you got one yet?

That 'feature' should already be sorted, but would be nice to be able to see more then one run without shutting down.
Been working on removing the dependancy on the two external DLL's, hopefully making it a bit leaner..

BTW, when you do get a 0-60 time, do you get it timed in tenths? ie 6.1 or is it always an exact second..

I think they've all been whole seconds as I had 9.0 secs for the Audi (which is faster than quoted figures, not bad for 165,000 miles) and 7.0 secs for the Supra

Weird, as when I use GPSGate to simulate the GPS signal, it does count tenths of seconds.

hmmmmmm.
