I always thought a wolverine was an animal that had a reputation for being capable of chewing off it's own leg if it got caught in a bear trap. Hence the phrase "I pulled a Wolverine last night": If you wake up with a rather unattractive member of the opposite sex lying on your arm next to you, you'd rather chew off your own arm than risk waking them :d

:dThen theres the Devonshire Wolverine, so called as it chews three legs off when caught in a bear trap...and is still trapped.

Why would you chew your arm off and then leave it there?

Ahhh ok, I think I get it.

I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or serious with your first comment, but the second one confirms it ;)

But have you ever woken up next to a chewed off arm? ;)

Speaking from experience? :d Would that be worse than a horses head?
