Gear gaiter

Hi all,

I have brought a new leather gaiter for my gear surround.

I can remove the panel but the old gaiter is plastic riveted in place with a plastic ring. Instructions I got with the new gaiter tell me to remove this ring, insert new gaiter over the pegs and then glue it down.

Anybody done this that can give me any tips as I don't want to break the panel!

The plastic ring on mine was already missing. So i just pulled off the old gaitor and carefully lined up the new one and then superglued the new one in place.

Its easier to glue sections at a time, and work your way around. Place the gaitor leather to the edge of the circle underneath the plastic gear insert (i cant remember its name. Basically just take your time mate, and dont use too much glue otherwise you will see it when you turn it over.

There you go clear as mud!!
