Excellent, bit of night racing! Its even better in the dark (and cold!).
If I can fit in it, i'm up for it:devil:
Hehehehe,
You'll fit Roy, plus I need someone 18stone odd to compete with,
all these pencil necks have a much better power to weight ratio
and slaughter me on the straights

Was at Buckmore last week for an identical race evening. Fantastic fun. Those karts really shift, and you can throw them into corners.
Mad fun.
Would recommend to anyone.
Not sure if I can make it that night though... will check.

Count me and Susie in... maybe 2 others also. Will confirm others asap.
How big is this place? Must have a decent sized circuit to fit that many people in?
Change the date, I wanna play too.. :( (sigh)
Haven't been karting for years :)

Its a 1.2km outdoor circuit. We went there a couple of weeks back, 18 of us, they easily fitted us in. Its floodlit and we were racing til 9.30 or so.
The thought of 70mph in a go-kart is starting to scare me, we went indoor karting and Im sure those things didnt top 40mph and they felt bloody nippy :)
Only problem I had was keeping my sodding glasses on my face! :D Is the track nice and smooth?

No problems with the visor pulled down on your skid lid!
It scared me to begin with, I was like an old biddy on my first practice lap, and a lunatic from then onwards.
Track is in good condition, there are sections of new tarmac which are grippier than others and you really feel it going from one to another. You really have to fight the kart if (when) you drift out onto the kerbs. Theres a great downhill section when you hit top whack and a tricky twisty bit with some interesting camber in the corners...
Average speed on the laps was 50mph!!!
:D
Ar.........the smell of two stroke in the evening, the stale sweaty lids, the thought of cramped forearms and bruised hips the following day.........I'm really starting to look forward to it.............
Hehe sounds good :)
The sweat, soreness and bruises all sound familiar.. last time I had to keep popping the visor up to sort out my goggles.. I bet the guys watching wondered what I was doing :)
I'll have to get some tape and strap them to my forehead :D
yay I can't wait i've always wanted to do Buckmore :D

I hope we haven't forgotten about this - I'm definitely up for it and a couple of mates will probably come along, will be confirming with them later.
Do we have to book up in advance, if so when by?
Agreed, well up for this and can get one definite (maybe more people) along if current low numbers is a problem.
My Boss says he wants to come, can we be nice and let him. If I let him overtake me I might get a pay raise! :)
I'm doing this track on the 29th Nov. I might be up for it again, but depends on money and the date.
Is the 22nd booked or is the date still provisional do we know? :)
i hope this is provisionally booked, I have put it in my diary and when it goes in my diary my wife elaways seems to know about it, and she aint said anything yet!
