So thats £360 for the PS3 and £488 for the 360 with the same bits. To me the PS3 sounds a lot cheaper

not at the moment as the PS3 only comes with scart waiting for the HDMI cabel and then it looks better because of the res (bit like 800x600 looks rubish on your pc but 1024x768 looks better)

I had my PS3 before I had a HDMI cable, feels like you're playing a ps2 :(

I heard yesterday that the 360 Elite is coming out with full High Definition :blink: I thought the 360 was high def ? Is it not a HD DVD player too ? As you can see I keep right up to date with all this malarkey :D

No probs with my 360 so far, probably cos the only time it gets switched on is when the baby crawls over to it and presses the ON button :rolleyes:

My brothers 360 died the day before they decided to change everyones warrenty to 3years and they tryed to charge him about £90 to fix it. Day after Microsoft adimit faults in loads so its now free to send off and have fixed.

I got my 360 on the day they came out, would defo not have got one and payed so much if I had known they were going to bring another out! Abit pissed now.

The thing that put the nail in the coffin for me was how MS stated that the 360 was full 1080p compatible. So I purchased a Full HD Sharp tv and was shocked to find that all I could get out of the 360 was 1080i! I was also not prepaired to pay more money for what essensualy MS should have done in the first place. I think this "elite" thing is just a gimick anyone who wanted a 360 would have got one by now and anyone who wants a PS3 and cant afford it wont go "ohhh a black 360 I will buy that instead"
