I know some people who've picked up 6spd UK cars for only a little more, though they were VERY lucky. I had my heart set on a manual, which is why in the end I got one, but after going in a few autos I wish I wouldn't have been so quick at making a decision. grahamc Posted July 11, 2007 Share Posted July 11, 2007 WTF?? H. jealous??? thinking you could have got a TT?? was it missing an engine no, bottom end shells had gone, so required some work. Some of the other smaller things that needed doing: turbos - buggered fmic - replace oil cooler kit thing - leaking some of the mounts on the steering rack perished engine needed a good clean 1 or 2 small issues with the bodywork I spent a lot more, but I did a load of other things. Basically I was considering the car before the engine went. Seller needed to sell, and I figured that I could have bought it and had the engine go on me.
