Tricky-Ricky
Just bought a pair of four point harnesses, mainly because since i have fitted the Konig seats, the seat belt sits to high on my wifes shoulder/neck, as she is on the short side, and i don't want her to suffer any problems should we have a small shunt etc, she has already had whiplash from somebody running into the back of my last car. So what i want to know from people who have fitted them, is the best place and way to anchor the shoulder straps? i was thinking of either drilling central to the seat in the area where the rear seat splits and anchoring both together or would it be better to split them? Tricky-Ricky
I went for these used on Ebay think i got a bargain as they seem to be about £70 each, and got a pair them for £40 inc P&P and there motor sport approved.

Trig
ah, i did see these on ebay. Im looking for something a bit wider, and they have to be grey to match the seats. Think i may be asking too much for my budget at the mo....

hiten55
i had those same konigs in my old car. when i got the harnesses fitted i was told that your not allowed to have them going straiight down behind the seat - i.e the have to be above a certain angle for mot testing. the guy recomended then rear seat belt mounting point on the c pillar - not sure how feasible that is on a sup though - but may be your best bet... Wez
I used the rear seat belt mounts under the stock seats for the shoulder straps, when I had the rear seats still in the car I just fed them through the original seat belt holes, worked ok for me. lucasl
Hey this might help, mounted mine on the rear seat belt mounts, if you are planning on drilling holes it will need to be strengthened by welding a plate in that area. http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/8388/photo0470ur9.jpg http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8296/photo0471yu0.jpg http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8722/photo0472ck8.jpg

For the lap straps I welded the supplied eyelets onto the stock bolts as they were a different size, the back bolts as shown in the pics above are a perfect fit. lucasl
yea its a 4 point 3" harness, for the lap strap I used the existing belt mount holes but as wez has already said the one on the left as you sit in the car is a smaller thread size so i used a die on the supplied bolt and thread it to the right size. http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/1979/photo0473cf6.jpg http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/4431/photo0474nv9.jpg
Trig
Excellent stuff Lucas, exactly what im after.... What would you do if you needed one for the passenger side? in a crash would that not be too much tension on the single bolt in the middle? What would you do if you needed one for the passenger side? in a crash would that not be too much tension on the single bolt in the middle? I was thinking the same but that mount in the middle did originally have both the standard rear belts mounted to it so I guess it is designed to hold two people in the event of a crash.
