I was in machinemart the other night and the guy guy behind the counter was asking about my car.

He said he was a member of the MR2 owners club and that his car (recently sold) was turbocharged and supercharged. I though he was talking shite cause I didn't think you could do that but if anyone knows differently can they enlighten me :)

Twin charging has been done before on a few cars. Whether or not this guy was bullshitting about his MR2 I've no idea, but it's certainly possible.

HKS sold a kit to twincharge the MK1 MR2 Supercharger (4AGZE) and a few of them exist, I don't know of any finished examples in the UK but I know of one in progress with extra bells and whistles.

So it's possible he's telling the truth, I haven't seen any come up for sale but I haven't been on the forums all that much looking for cars for sale.

Rapid little monsters though.

Can't see the Utube vids from here, but I've got several pages on a supercharged/turbocharged MR2 on a book lying around. Pretty interesting project it was.

I think heatsoak killed it in the end.

There are quite a few twin charged MK1 MR2's around in the UK, and loads in Japan. Lancia, Nissan and others have produced engines like this, some in production cars.

The new Golf GT is super + turbo charged..... and according to Clarkson, one of the worst 5 cars he's ever driven. :conf:
