Which SMIC?

Which SMIC should I go for given that the ideal one (CW) just isn't available unless I want to buy 3 of them :D

Would be nice if it could support a small single in the future too - SM just makes more sense to me - better airflow and it's not blocking up (or indeed being heated by) the rad.

What front bumper do you have James?

If A/M one, go FMIC matey with some good FMIC and Rad ducting and you'll be set for a small single alright. Greddy 3-row is always a good choice and I'm sure Nic can get you a damn good price. :)

I'm appalled! There are people out there giving us Corsa driver's a bad name

JohnK on here uses an OEM SMIC and he's running a small single. You could ask him if he's ever had any issues, but I don't think he has.

He hasn't had any issues mate, no. He posted up the other day saying he was well happy with the CW SMIC. Sure he'll be along to confirm.

Yes it's A/M, Top Secret type 3. Will have a think, it all really depends on when I want to go single, hell I'm not even fully BPU yet!

The car is going to CW soon for some suspension work so I will see what he thinks.

He's running an OEM intercooler at the moment :)

It might only be a small single, but I think I'd be lethal with that much power at my right foot! Very nice car he has - white with black leather. Looks the mutts nutts IMO

Wasn't me, I am running a good condition stock SMIC.

Good enough to get in the 12's at pod.

When I first went single I put a post IC temp probe in, although I cant remember the exact numbers they were very resonable.

My EGT's also very rarely hit 850°c although that has less to do with intake temps.

probably me with the CW SMIC then. Its on a t-61 running 550cc injectors with an emanage blue and its been safely (nice and safely) mapped for 1.35bar which is more than enough for any sane person.

As I said in the other thread, the SMICs are a great solution as they are fully ducted which forces air through the tubes and fins. A FMIC can allow the air to just push round the IC and not be as efficient.

Time will tell on my car, but as its running 1.35bar on one of the original Vortex budget kits then Im pretty impressed.
