16" Tyres?

I'm running standard rims on my J-spec TT (pretty cool huh?) and have been looking at various online tyre suppliers to try ang get a price for front and rears. Most of these have the box where you select your size and then it searches what's available.

There just doesn't seem to be anything for wide 16" rims other than Hwafong Skidmasters or Yawgonna Lhoosat and the like.

I know there's not many people on standard rims anymore, but are there any good quality tyres that will fit still available.

Try and get hold of some standard 17's. They will fair you much better mate. They are wider at the back than the front too, and in my opinion, they are the best wheels for the car.

Yeah, not exactly rolling in cash at the minute unfortunately, just bought a house. I did look into buying some 17"s but they generally need tyres too, so just not an option at the minute.

They normally go for around £400, and say two of the tyres needed replacing that's another £250 odd.

rik is it the front, rears or both that are the problem?

On my 16's? All four really, the rears are on the limit and the fronts are cut on the inside. Need to get all wheel track done.

You could try Hankook RS-2 's from camskill a road legal track day tyre (i really want to try these) they are on offer at the moment fronts and rears for £320?
