Whats the best thing to use to degrease intercooler pipes I am about to fit new connecting hoses?
Or brake/clutch cleaner soaked rag and feed it through a few times.

cilit bang? or the lime powder col suggested?
I used cilit bang on the silicone too and it seemed fine, washed it afterwards with a little warm water.

I'll try the lot, as i can never keep pipes on, even with Mikalor clamps, there is always one that pops open !.

Are the hard pipes swaged? If not, get them swaged. A basic Jubilee clip should hold I/C hoses on perfectly fine at 2 bar plus boost.

Whats swaged? do you mean the little and i mean little raised rim at the end?

Should be quite deep swaging, about 10 to 15 mm from the ends of the hard pipes. Look at a stock plastic I/C hose for an example.

These are just single ridge at the end, 15mm worth would be a great grip in comparison, just got to find a local who can do that for me.

Thats a proper swag, mine have a minor version close to the end. Will look into getting them made bigger if possible.

Stainless or alloy pipes? You can also weld a bead on the pipes to act as a swage. You need one of these to do a rolled swage:
