Hi guys. i'm in the u.s. and i was looking into getting a Greddy BCC so i could up the boost on my single turbo jdm 2jz. the responses i got from domestic supra sites were that running the Greddy BCC on a jdm 2jz is unsafe because it masks or eliminates essential info to the ecu.
i hear that you guys run jdm 2jz's. could you guy's give me some input as to if the BCC works with the jdm 2jz's with no problem?

You've been given a bum steer. The GReddy BCC works fine with the jdm 2JZ - a large number of us here run them with our jdm Supra TT's, most Supra's in the UK are jdm imports. We use them to be able to up boost past the 1bar fuel cut limit, usually to a maximum of 1.2bar since the standard ECU only has mapping data / MAP sensor voltage resolution up to this boost pressure.

That is assuming you're running a jdm ECU with no other signal fudgers in the MAP signal loop?

EDIT - Just re-read your post and saw the 'single turbo' bit - what are you using to control fuelling and ignition with that?? Surely you can eliminate fuel cut (boost cut) with the same device?

Cheers,

Brian.

well i am using a vafc for fuel tuning. when i got the car on the dyno my boost pressure wouldnt go above ~14psi. with a conservative ( read: safe) tune. we made 430whp. it was pretty stable and that was after 16 pulls. what i need to know is if i can use the greddy bcc in conjunction with my v-afc.

THanks for the help guys
