satansbodyguard
if i get a tt supra straight off the boat who is the best out there to change it to uk fuel etc what's the difference in uk fuel and japanese fuel ???
tooquicktostop
Stands to be corrected but here goes Running it on 97 ron super will be fine, the ECU (if standard?) will adjust to the fuel, I would still have a full service anyway for piece of mind
wallace9
It will run on UK fuel ok. Jap fuel is 100 ron so make sure you use something like Vpower.
mattanna
You do not need to change it, Japanese fuel nowadays is 100 ron, engines were built to run on 95 ron(our standard unleaded) but you will get less performance and it may run rough, use shell v power which is 99 ron or bp ultimate 97 ron or tesco 99 ron if you can get it, i only use v power ,ultimate if i have to, if your car is n/a and not tt then you will be fine with 95 ron, although i would always use higher octane for personal preference
satansbodyguard
so till it got changed use somthing like shell optimax ??
Alex
You won't need a remap - you just use Super Unleaded (ie VPower) ONLY...don't use normal Unleaded.
Alex
I am under the impression the Japanese 100RON thing is false...they don't have anything more potent than we have.
mattanna
so till it got changed use somthing like shell optimax ?? As everyone has said it does not need to be "changed", v power replaced optimax

cheekymonkey
I was at Mines a couple of weeks ago and they told me in fact the fuel out there *is* 100 RON, so if that's incorrect I'd be very surprised

As said above, dont run it on normal unleaded, 99 from tescos, BP ultimate or similar only, performance decrease from using 95 octane fuel is the least of your worries when getting on boost

letmeshowyou
doing an ecu reset wouldn't do any harm if you're worried though - pull both efi fuses out for a while and plug them back in.
