when u sign up it asks where in the world u live so i thought i'd ask !!

i could'nt think of a better place to start to find someone in cyprus with detail'd knowledge of supra's who sells them ? and if there is anywhere that boosts power etc than an owners forum where people who love the cars get together

and why not on my first post ????

I picked up a Cypriot "Max Power" style magazine last time I was over there, I'll have a look through it for adverts when I next see it.

The Cypriots are big into their Jap imports. Larnaca is the main place for buying and servicing/mods etc.

When i was out there (5 years ago) one of the guys i worked with bought a pristine TT Supra, all kitted and modded for £10,000!!

That was tax free though.

Many of the mechanics have been trained and worked in the UK(NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING). But they all speak English (mainly with a cockney accent).

Nah, I'm just out here on an extended holiday :) I live near Burton-on-Trent, which is far less impressive :)

Tbh though, I wouldn't want to live out here. It's nice, but the roads are terrible, most of the locals are miserable as sin and damned unfriendly, everywhere is a building site, and the dust can be a nightmare.

its hard to get info on the car scene over there

You wont find many decent garages in those areas, only if you want your basket sorting on your chicken chaser!!

Your best bet is away from the touristy areas, Larnaca strip, Limassol, and Nicosia. Its where most of the main dealers are.

Larnaca is only 20 min from Ayia Napa.

Its just a case of trawling through the garages to get a good one.

Mechanic costs are cheap, but stick with main dealers, many will advertise as English mechanics.

Rust wont be a problem, more the paintwork from the sun.

Theres nowt you can do about the dust other than clean it regulary.

Speak to ex pats, who'll know a cyp who'll know a good dealer.

The only way is to go visit some dealers and see what they've got.

There all on one road in Larnaca, spend the afternoon walking round.

I rhink there is a performance place just outside the entrance to Larnaca Docks
