Stuck @pod! - Boost Leak?

Hi Guys!

After a nice time of 13.066 this morning I think I have run in to a small problem.

My mechanical boost gauge has stopped responding, but the air line connected to it at the back is fine, so it may have popped off the other end, but I can't trace it. It goes behind the turbos by the firewall, and disappears down there somewhere!

The car seems to run fine however isn't really boosting properly, when I rev it it goes to maybe 0.1 bar.

No smoking or anything unusual. Would a boost leak look like this or have I blown a turbo?!

James... on internet in my tent!

feel behind (on) the inlet manifold there is a very small pipe down there that has an amazing effect on the turbos (its a thin bore U shaped thing)

also check the air pipe rack above the turbos whilst the car is running to see if you can hear any hissin from any pipe connection.

Is your boost controller working correctly?

Wish I had gone to camp now lol im coming in the morning

Bah! I was a bit quick sending that last message. It seems both tubbies are coming online OK as I'm hitting 1.05 bar from the boost controller, just went for a spirited run down the country roads. I guess revving while car is stationary doesn't provide much boost.

The manual gauge still isn't working so I probably do still have a boost leak, I just need to find the damn cable :D

Cheers

James
