Unless you have been on the moon you would know that we have had a baby this week!! ;)

Got a phone call from the wife at 10am this morning saying that the hospital are talking about sending her home today.... This is less than 48 hours since her cesaerean section........:( Yesterday, she couldn't walk ten yards without assistance and fell over in the shower and had to pull the emergency cord to get help....... Baby is fine but Vicki is obviously not yet ready to come out.

I got there about 1pm and asked the nurses what was going on? They said she can go home, she's fine. I said, has she sat on a chair yet (NO) has she climbed any stairs yet? (NO). She's hasn't taken a dump either. Then how the fook can you think she's ready??

This was a blatant attempt to clear the ward before the weekend.... Give them their due, they didn't argue and my missus is still in hospital till at least tomorrow!!

Thats crap!

After normal pregnancy they can normally go home quite quick, but clearly this was a bit more difficult.

Sorry, but thats the way it is. They just kick you out as soon as they can. My wife is a sister on A and E, and they regularly work with at least two train staff short, just to save money:(

It is normal nowadays mate, my wife was home within two days of both kids, both sections, one emergency!!, better than staying in hospital and catching something(i am a charge nurse in intensive care), pain relief is important, but taking it easy at home is too, a day or so won't make a big difference, by the way congrats, having children is the greatest thing i have ever done, in fact the only great thing

My friend left a couple of days after her cesarean.

I think they think it's difficult to get rest and recuperation in hospital surrounded by other people, it's easier at home.

Hope she's ok. :)

I know that the staff are under pressure but they are taking risks with peoples health. Some of the staff are terrific but there are a couple who have let us down.

Maybe I worry too much but if I was doing their job, I would have higher standards. Although the thought of doing a job like that doesn't appeal to me!
