Right guys
As some of us discussed/mentioned tonight at the Newhouse meet, what do you think about a meet in Ayrshire?
Opposite end of the country to the Aberdeen meet so will accommodate those who can't make that.
Fingers crossed the weather will stay good and we can head down to the beach with the cars :cool:
Just looking for numbers interested before picking dates etc

would really depend on what other meets are happening at the same time. (i.e. JAE etc as there's no point having it on the same date)

Might be good to make a call now as to whether those going to both want to stay in Ayr on the Saturday night then drive to Crail Sunday morning or stay nearer Crail so anyone feeling delicate after a few pints Saturday night doesn't have to drive too far!

Just tried four hotels in Crail (can't be many more) and they are all fully booked, i'm guessing for the meet. So we might have to look further afield or just stay in Ayr and be prepared for an early start!

Presumably from the missing number plate.

It's often the driver, I have met a few people with fast fast cars and when I have a shot I still scare the sh*t out of them, so many people don't know what they have and keep the revs too low through the gears.......Take the credit and keep the revs up!!!!!!
Im a bit addicted to speed maybe thats the reason :P

There are some really great driving roads around here and I used to have a lot of fun in my celica cos I had bags of confidence but losing the back end of this into a ditch or up a grass bank would be crushing and expensive!

There is 5 pitches left for tents on the Sat night at £18 per night.
I think I might take one of these so I could get to Crail nice and early. Still do Ayre on the Sat and just head to crail later on in the day, pitch up and Pub!

I have booked a pitch for my tent on the Friday and saturday so I can leave a bit later for the Ayr meet on the Sat morn and not have to worry about putting the tent up on the Saturday night. I am going to make a full weekend out of this one and am really looking forward to it!

Yep, gonna make the 4th/5th cos I'm gonna do Ayr and Crail and camp at Crail Fri/Sat night. But i've been away this weekend and will be busy next two weekends with driving the Newcastle for repairs so gotta do uni work sometime (wish I didn't).
I don't know what the final figure will be cos Kslb has sorted it all for me and he keeps suggesting further changes which I kept thinking are a great idea. Now going for a completely new Stillen front end with facelift indicators and I have also had a problem with my second turbo which we think is related to the pressure tank so that will get sorted too. Then gonna add uk spec glass headlights for a complete remodel. Hopefully gonna have time to repaint the dash and sort a couple of switches so she should look lush by Ayr/Crail. ;)

Yeah they do know what there doing down there. Mine was in for a full service when i got the car from Jurgen. So long ago now. Well 10 months ago, since then she's had the twins ripped out and a single put it, hehe.

Right guys and girls, im thinking meeting time will be about 12pm, that way we can have a meet and a chat then head down to Ayr, park up and Grab some Lunch and a drink.
Meeting place i cant decide on as i dunno where everyone is coming from. Where do you guys and girls fancy meeting? Im only 10mins away from Ayr at warp speed. But i dont mind heading into Glas to meet everyone and Cruise down.

yup, driving down in mini-convoy with kslb sometime friday afternoon/evening and camping at Crail Fri and Sat night. We figured that would be easiest and the best way of being at Crail good and early on the Sunday.

looks like it's probably going to be around mid-day meeting in glasgow and then heading down to ayr.
if you're further down dumfries and galloway then you're possibly better off just meeting us in ayr.

Me and Kslb are camping at Crail Fri/Sat night so we will head back from Ayr to Crail sometime Saturday evening so we can be up bright and early for Crail on Sunday.
Looking forward to this; fingers crossed for the weather! :rolleyes:
Eve and I will be heading up to Crail on the Sat night after the meet as we have campsite etc booked but are in no rush to get away and really looking forward to this one!!!

12pm, meeting at Hillington Services Juction 26 off the M8. Its so easy to Find. Meet at Burger King!
We'll then get all the cars together, head back onto the M8, upto Ibrox and head down on the M77 to Ayr. Is this ok with everyone?
For all those just meeting us in Ayr, we'll meet down the Front at the beach at about 1pm. If you wana phone some of us send me a PM and you can phone us if you get lost??

we are hoping to still ake it one of the rear callipers has just decided to dye but ill do my best to get it all fixed in time
Think I'm gonna take a break this weekend - was at TOTB at the weekend, JAE the weekend before and next weekend I'm going down to rotorstock at the pod to see if I can improve on my 11.90 1/4 mile on a decent surface, then a week later it's ultimate scottish street car at crail and I'll be giving that my best shot!

Was a fantastic weekend and was good to meet up with you all Ayr was great and Crail was Fantastic. It turned out that our campsite was next to the track so even better. Was my first time on the 1/4 and Eves and we were both driving her Supe it was a fantastic buzz and I hope to get mine down the track soon as well. We did 10 runs between us and both cannot wait to get there again.
sorry i missed Crail by 10 oclock on the saturday night i realised i had far too much to drink by that point lol:p
Anyway saturday was great and now i have another burnt face cos of the "sun" :rolleyes:

Weekend was great. I managed a 14.825 on the 1/4 mile which I am quietly proud of although Keith beat me IN MY OWN CAR! Knew he would so it's all good, he did a 13.925 (or something like that).

Thanks Ian, lol a bit mental I know, That was up at the recent EK cruise. I love taking pics and would be happy to do a photoshoot with anyone next meet or whenever really. I would love to experience a Supra because it will be a while yet before I own one, being a student lol.

Hey guys. On Saturday night me and my friend got jumped by some neds in Kilmarnock where we live. I was uninjured, but my mate got punched and a glass bottle over the head. They were drunk, started on us for no reason. His ex-gf was also with us. Luckily it happened right next to my car, a Fiesta, so we managed to escape to the hospital, JUST. Thing is, they were kicking and bashing the car like mad to get to us, and as I hastily reversed out the car park space where it happened, my left rear quarter crashed into another car's bumper next to us with the man inside it. If we hadn't got away we'd probably be dead by now :(. My friend was lucky and got away from hospital that night.
So here's the pics of the damage. Police are obviously looking for the guys that did it, I heard they had phoned their friend to pick them up after we left. Arseholes.

Thanks guys. Yes everyone got away from it ok, only my mate with a cut on his head, looked much worse at the time due to all the blood. There were about 5 or 6 of them, so I wasn't going to confront them. I think I did the best thing. Also they kept trying to get at us after the bottling so they probably tried to kill us. Hopefully they catch them and they get what's coming to them. Probably only a slap though. I don't know if my mate or I could sue the club, since the ned had a glass bottle and almost certainly came from there. I don't know what my options are as well, if I could get the ned to pay for the damages caused.
