Hi Folks
I need some help to do with the black ring which sits behind the steering wheel and has the horn connector on it. I have an aftermarket momo wheel fitted, which came with the car.
Basically it doesnt move properly all the time, meaning my indicators dont self cancel properly. Also , it must be moving too far at points as the wire for the horn is being yanked out its connection.
Heres a pic of the ring in question :

What I need to know is how far this ring is meant to go ? Should it turn round and round indefinately? This would mean you would need a very long horn cable as it would wrap around the column, so I dont think this can be the case.
Is it a toyota part, or part of my momo wheel kit ?
There is another black ring within the outer one, which seems to be worn away and damaged somehow. Can anyone tell me how this is meant to sit and what it does? I have taken a picture of it :

I dont know how these parts are meant to move so I'm not sure how to attempt a fix. I need the horn working for my MOT due very soon eek !
Any help would be very much appreciated !
Thanks
Rory.
