OK this is going to sound real dumb

Im having a notch in 2nd and 3rd gear,

I want to check the gearbox fuild levels in a 5 speed N/a

Problem is i dont have a clue where the filler is.

There is a bolt on the side of the gearbox, basically when the oil is changed, the gearbox is filled up unitl the oil reaches the level of the hole (ie when it starts to pour out) and then the bolt is refitted.

Just change the oil if you are having problems, that should cure the notchiness, unless there is something more sinister wrong.

Im hoping its the oil.

I changed the air filter today and it was totaly black, so i figure maybe the car needs a dam good service (that said the red coolent is still a nice bright red not muddy brown). Im putting new plugs in at the weekend. Im going to book it in for an oil change so i will get them to do the gearbox oil at the same time.
