Picked up Forza 2 this afternoon and it is absolutely awesome. I have not enjoyed a racing game so much since the first Gran Turismo.
You get a few basic old cars to choose from at the beginning of your career and I decided to go with the Honda CRX SIR (mainly out of love for my old 16v). The amount of things you can change is amazing. I have already added Tein Coilovers, a HKS exhaust system and Endless brakes and there is stacks more to do (including RWD conversion).
I never played the first Forza so forgive me for getting over excited about it :)
Im off to earn more credits anyway, I need 34875 credits to buy RZ TT :)

£48 for the Limited Edition one which is only £3 more than play and I get to play it now. Definately worth it. I really like Rainbow Six Vegas on the 360 but I think I will be playing this game more :)

Just a small localish shop. Most small game (non franchise) game shops will do this. The big shops like Game, HMV, Virgin etc will always have to wait until release date but most shops get the games 2-3 days before release. You've only got 1 more day to wait now anyway :)
Managed to get a Supra last night and paint it to see what my real car will look like once it's been resprayed. Only problem is that I can't get the OEM spats, skirts and BBS LM rims. The Abflug spoiler isn't available either but I plan to get the Abflug Supra later on and put everything back to stock barring the spoiler so I can see what it looks like. I took a couple of pictures and put them on the Forza community site (see below). im liking the colour anyway :)

Cool :) I really like the book you get in the LTD edition. Makes a change from other games where you just get a different case for the extra money.

Contact the 360 helpdesk and see what they say. Mine had a hardware failure as well (within 6 months though). It was replaced and when I asked if I would get a new 12 month warranty the lady told me that I had 3 years anyway. It seems a lot of customers received 3 year warranty's so you might get lucky. If they say its only 12 then you could always try telling them that you will go get a PS3 instead. At the end of the day the consoles don't make much (if any) profit and its the games they want you to buy. Also downloadable content etc. If you haven't got an Xbox then your not going to be giving them any money back.

Just a few cars made available. 360 Challenge Stradale, an Impreza (can't remember which one) and a Saleen S281. There is a big book with it too which has some information on the manufacturers + some other things in there too. All in all I think its quite a good little pack.

8 cars at once. not sure about 24hr races yet.
ah thats well disapointing I thought this supost to be a sim? May stick with GTR2 until GT5 comes out.
there is an endurance cup. but i havnt been able to unlock that yet.
ahh I just love the mad rush to the first corner with 30+ other cars really gets the blood pumping. Found the first game very good but would have thought with the power of the 360 they could have upped the car limit
Im finding it more arcadey than I thought it would be, but still loving it. I have done everything I can to the CRX now and it is awesome :)

nope, its like the original Forza. the more races you do the higher level you become, the higher the level you are the more advanced races you are aloud to enter :) simple.

yep offical wireless one it was 10 degrees of centre lagging like hell and had a massive dead centre! Game wouldnt take it back so got another one (apparently a lot of people on the xbox.com have the same problems) so will go to another shop and say its an unwanted birthday present. Or if anyone wants to make an offer lol

ermmm YES! :d ... I don't want to brand myself a computer geek but i've played pretty much all the car games there is and this is easily the best so far :D
Gran Turismo 5 is really gonna have to pull out all the stops to better this... :)
I have a copy sat here, I can't wait to get home from work to have a go!
played this yesterday and loved it. the first one was good but this one is packed full of Supras :)

Well spent the evening on it and got to say if you like the tuning side of things then yeah its good but the actual racing dosnt seem to have improved nor has the "simulation" aspects, if your into 100% realistic racing get GTR2, if your after a quick pick up and play then forza is damn good

Simulation wise GTR2 is better like you say. The upgrades part of Forza is brilliant and me, Cable and Johnnyknox tried the online side of things last night. Its good how you can force certain aspects of the game in the online setup, i.e. force all racers to turn all friving aids off, force mods off, what groups / cars to use etc. It really is excellent online.
Oh and the simulation damage is great as well
i want one, just for this game.

Am liking it too :thumbs: Very much like Gran Turismo for the 360 but with damage etc and somewhat better graphics of course.
Excellent game :cool: Might be giving BF2142 a rest for a bit now I have this.
I've been caining this all weekend.. got a Golf GTI which is basically earning the cash.. and a (Power Index) 900bhp Trail kitted Supra... so powerful in fact I can't really get it flat out even on the track with the banked corner... it's just wants to slide :d

I have 2 MkIV's now - my main one and one I bought on a whim to play with the graphics editor. Seems pretty good (though takes a while to get anywhere). I was going to try to do the Castrol livery but after looking at pics the amount of work scared me. Not sure what to do with it now!
BTW, my Live name is Harpsy if anyone wants to add me to friends. Not taken the game on Live yet, I'm still using most of the aids to keep me on the track, so the thought of being embarressed by people who can actually race properly scares me.

I took the early veilside Supra (circa 870bhp?) out with just ABS and couldn't stop smiling. I was on my mates Xbox and wouldn't go home lol. No-one else could handle the thing but with me being the only Supra driver in the room I showed them hows its done... sideways :d
Pah, ABS switched off for me :eek: :D
I'm not on Live yet, but might have to change that just for Forza 2.
Been running round in my Cooper S and '73 Carrera RS mostly :)
I dont use any aids at all and just over 50% dosnt seem that big a game GT4 took me ages to finish.

I Won The AB FLUG supra. my dream car :):):):), I have a good 40 cars at the moment and im about half way through the game i think..
No aids here! - Stock looking supra with all the engine mods not suspension, tires etc - bit of a handful. Reminds me of mine :D
I love the graphics section, I seem to be spending most of my time in there! I already have done a MKiii in Taisan race graphics, my mkiv in the red and white Sard graphics, and am in the process of doing an R34 skyline in the Xanavi graphics:-)

So I got my Supra into the 'Unlimited' class now... 999bhp..
I'd say it's twice as quick as the Enzo in PGR3... and the handling is, well, interesting.... better for race tyres is what I'd say! :d

you can turn that option off, aswell as needing to re-fuel.
does it tell you when to change? or do they just go pop...
You can use the up arrow on the D pad to see the ware levels
love the super fast invisable pit stops though they managed to fix my seriously banged up car in 6 seconds!
I am unsure how I feel about forza it seems to be the jack of all trades but dosnt master them all I feel the painting could be a lot better like being able to turn letters inside out or put them on windows or wings (if anyone has found a way let me know), pit stops are laufable the endurance races are the same length as a normal race. I was expecting Spa 12hr or Le Mans 24hr not 42 laps! Also the damage seems a little unrealistic as well managed to spin and got hit at a good pace only for my car to be slightly dented and smoke a little (ok I had problems pulling away but my car should have been tottaled).
I may be picky but the game seems far from being a "sim" as they claim it to be.
I would go as far as to say it's 'nearly' as good as Gran Turismo.. that said I'm trying not to compare it... just really enjoying playing it :)

If you press the left shoulder button it shows car damage, press it again and it displays tyre temperatures and wear I think.
IMO I think it's better than Gran Turismo...the cars just seem more fun to drive and the 360 controller is so much easier to use for progressive power and braking.

Nah they just went pop... no warning. I only found out about the wear indicators when I mashed the buttons in a rage afterwards. The rears still had 30% tread so it should have let me bloody move, it was 4WD.
It was kind of like writing an entire essay then your computer switching off just before you were about to save, so me and Forza are having a little time apart at the moment.
How on earth do you control the cars in the 'American Iron Runoff' events! its impossible :(

Oh can you get blow outs just put all my tyres to 100% by doing uber doughnuting but nothing happend got all the stuff set to simulation.

People (with a lot of time on their hands) make them by layering graphic upon graphic (literally thousands of layers) to make cool pictures. I don't think many of the custom designs are actually done by the game developers.

yup ya can! theres no way of importing graphics. so they must be doing it, probably using lots of transparency effects.
i have lots of time on my hands at the moment, and am recreating my Sonic avatar on the roof of a Cooper S :D

Allegedly you can! With much skill and many, many layers it is supposedly possible. With the ability to re-size and overlap the decals realistic pictures can be made. I don't think it is possible yet for people to import photos or other graphics files.

Got this today, played it for about an hour and have to say I'm pretty impressed - only up to about level 6 or 7 so far but the Corrado is doing the money earning for me at the moment :)
Some of those graphics are insane and fair play to you people doing them, I'll have a go later when I finally get my supe :cool:

im loving this also. got a max tuned supra. it doesnt do corners. and you tend to drift unintentionaly all the way down the strait bits :p

Yes, but not as far as you've got so no I wont be racing you :)
Coulpe of things I've just noticed with Forza
1. Any photos you upload to their site get deleted after a while which is a shame.
2. The AI of the cars is annoying, they can take you out very easily by the slightest of taps but try doing it to them and they just stay dead on track :(
3. My disc is corrupt in a couple of places meaning I can't race on the Suzuka Circuit, every time I do start a race there, the track goes completely see through and then the game freezes, all the other tracks are fine :(
Apart from that, I'm really enjoying it again after a small break for Halo :)

Its a lot harder online than the actual game as you tend to get a lot of people with their own tuning setups (like me :))
We'll have to organise a race soon ;) I'll try and add you all later :)

Certainly be up for a couple of online races somewhen, did have a go at a couple of races and certainly is a bit different to the normal game, found you really have to adjust the braking point a lot earlier.
I'm now in a real predicament, my disc is scratched very very slightly but will not let me race on the Suzuka Track without freezing or locking the console up ... so I'm stuck with loads of races to complete and can't cos of the disc :(
Been waiting for my mate to lend me his brothers for a couple of nights but he's off on leave at the mo ... grrrrr :(
Tonight Matthew ... I shall be mostly driving around Suzuka circuit completing lots of races :d
Had a couple of great races this afternoon with Cable from here, we've deffo got to get a forum race sorted out at some point. :)
Just need to set a date and time, only trouble is the time of year and people being / doing stuff at various times :(

I think the host can kick people out of their session (happened to me the other day for no reason apart from causing a massive pile up at the start :) ) so as long as you've got a list of people who are forum members then it shouldn't be too difficult.
