Exhaust + induction

Hi kids,

I've been browsing around your site, and wondering if I could get a quote?

I'm looking (in the very short term) at upgrading induction and exhaust on my Supe (j spec TT auto).

a) What would you recommend? (I'd like a nice sound from the exhaust, but neighbour waking is not required:))
b) How much is it? :)

I've heard good things about the Hiper but I think it's probably too loud.. I don't really like the 'bean can' look of the big exhausts, however if it's unavoidable then - oh well.

I'd also like a nice induction setup, however I'm not looking at making a 600bhp monster, I'm only really looking at doing these mods at this point in time :)

Is there anything else I'll need to do this little project? My car is completely stock mechanically, so it's the air filter and exhaust I'm looking at.

You mentioned using the stock air box, is this the best foot forward? When my mechanic took the box apart and took the filter out he showed me what it sounded like and it made such a nice 'dump valve' woosh sound when the pressure was released .. would I pick this sound up (ie, much louder so you can hear the release properly when driving) just with the filter in a standard box, or would the whole thing need to be replaced? Or do I really need a bigger BOV?

We aim to please :)

Yeah I gave you a quote for both an air induction kit or a filter. Its a personal preference and I always suggest both.

If you got rid of the stock air box you could hear the noise more, but the best bet is if you like noise is to get an aftermarket blow off valve, like the HKS SQV or the Blitz SuperSound BOV.

If you go for the induction kit I would recommend a cold air box to keep the air intake temps down when losing the stock air box.

Hi Guys, I am currently developing the cold airboxes as we speak. The prototype is being tested and I should have some finished units available by the end of next week although it may be a little longer depanding on if you prefer the lid to be polished or chromed.

The price for the Apexi intake is as on our website and I am expecting them in any day now, with the next shipment!
